So Mommy is in Africa and me and Dadda, have a busy day planned. First I chow down on Mamma's milk. Then we headed to Prosepect Park to chow down on the lawn. Then we headed over to Aunt Lesley's House for a BBQ.
Uh, there are girls here... I gotta look cool... I think they're ignoring me. Maybe I should say something? Girls are yucky. Ahhhhhh... Uncle Dan loves me. And Aunt Lesley too.
Ok, so Mommy had a work trip to Ethiopia which means...Daddy's in charge. She left for 6 days. I had to become Super Baby. Thank God Mommy left detailed instructions:
With all the emailing, faxing, and chewing on on this great stuff, its enough to make your head spin. Thankfully I had my buddy Jacob along for a big power meeting.
Now it's Dada's turn. Our first, Father's Day. Today Mommy took Daddy to the 2009 Bicycle Film Festival Art show called "Joy Ride." We had a nice day looking at all the bicycle art. First we had to stop at Grand Street for some yummy doughnuts from doughnutplant.com
today was also Make Music day, so there were some random bands playing outside all over the city.
It was raining so we had to put me in my space bubble.
First I got into the spirit of the event. Today was my first Mermaid Parade at Coney Island. Daddy was very into this event ever since he won "Best musical Group" as the Mermones back in 2001. That's my Uncle Dan as Joey Mermone. There's Daddy: ah, the glory days... Well this year the weather looked kind of bad and we almost didn't make it. But I think Mommy and Daddy would have been upset if I missed my first Mermaid Parade, so we headed out to Coney Island.
As usual, I was pretty excited for the festivities... Wow, people really go all out for this thing. We got to see our friend San who came out all the way from LA. She really does this parade up right. Here she is as part of Splash Dance:
